Hello, this thread will contain all staff need-to-know information. These things being;
- Staff Roles/Responsibilities
- Reporting Staff/Players
- Needed Commands
- Staff Guidelines/Restrictions
So let's get on with the information.
Staff Roles and ResponsibilitiesStaff ManagerRole: Guide the community and choose new staff to help the community grow.
Responsibilities: Promote and demote staff, mainly handle staff concerns/issues, such as staff reports and player reports.
Restrictions: Virtually none, does not mean we will do whatever we want, but do not disrespect us and try and tell a Staff Manager how to do their job. We are SM's for a reason, we will follow the RP rules, but don't tell an SM not to use their powers.
Senior Admin/ModRole: Assist the SM's in whatever needs to be done, help guide the staff and the community. Expected to be on duty, however, not near as much as mods and admins.
Responsibilities: To help staff with any questions they have, assist SM's with staff and the server. They also help with reports on staff on players.
Restrictions: These guys are very trusted but still must comply with RP rules. However, they are allowed to use powers off duty and should be trusted to not break any rules. Must comply with all RP rules.
AdminRole: Help administrate the server and direct the staff and players while in-game.
Responsibilities: Basically a beefed up mod that is trusted more. Is expected to be on duty just as much as mods. Mods, when an admin tells you to do something like GO ON DUTY, just do it, they are where they are for a reason and know what they are talking about.
Restrictions: They focus on the server and do not deal with staff reports or player reports. Lenient with commands off-duty as they are trusted. However, abuse of this trust will lead to punishment. Must comply with RP rules.
ModRole: Take sits and answer any questions the players have and deal with in-game player issues.
Responsibilities: Expected to be on duty a portion of their time on the server, listen to all higher-ups without complaint. These guys are trusted but cannot use powers off duty unless trying to help staff when lots of calls are coming in.
Restrictions: These guys are trusted but cannot use powers off duty unless trying to help staff when lots of calls are coming in. Must comply with RP rules.

Staff Guidelines and RestrictionsStaff Restrictions-Do not take sits in a public area, or in bases unless the sit requires the admin to look at the base.
If you do not want to be interrupted during an admin sit by other players, use common sense and take the sit to a roof or unused area. Your base can still be raided whilst you're in an admin sit because the other player probably doesn't know what's happening inside.
-Staff are allowed to use commands off duty, but only if it is to enforce the rules. This means, if you witness someone break rules, then you can use your commands to punish the user or handle the situation. If you ever use commands to benefit yourself, this is considered abuse and you'll have to be punished for it.
-Only time you can answer calls off duty, is if the Staff on Duty needs help with calls. If there aren't any staff on duty, then you should get on duty to answer the calls.
-Admins are able to spawn in entities, but if you spawn in anything to benefit yourself, this is abuse and you will be handled accordingly.
-Staff shouldn't be using their powers on other staff members in a teasing/jokingly way. Although, you can punish them for breaking RP related rules. Any rules they break that requires a ban/kick, contact Staff Managers because staff shouldn't break rules in that manner. Unless they are being detrimental to the server such as mass banning/mass abuse. Do this temporary until the Staff Managers can come on and handle the situation.
-i.e If you feel the Moderator has broken a rule and deserves to be jailed then you may do so, but be wary if you are in the wrong you will be dealt with as if you mishandled a situation with a player.
-If a Mod refuses to be jailed or uses commands to unjail the admin will take no further action. They will instead, if necessary, contact a SA.
If you are caught doing anything considered unacceptable (such as listed above) you will be punished or demoted.Staff GuidelinesThese staff guidelines will help new or inexperienced staff that doesn't know what to do in certain situations. We do not want staff to look at these guidelines as an instruction manual. The punishments are dependent on the Staff, and should be decided by his judgment. If the Staff doesn't handle the situation correctly, or goes overboard, then they'll be punished.
How to handle server lag or auto-disconnect warnings.
When the server begins to feel laggy or gives you several auto-disconnect warnings in the top right of your game, you will need to do a series of things.
1. Hold TAB and check every players ping. - If players have abnormally high ping compared to usual, the server is probably being DDOSed. If this is the case, please tell the highest ranking staff member you can reach.
However, if the pings are fine - !freeze * and unfreeze yourself, then Check the prop spawns (Through !plogs or Console for admins and above) for a massive amount of entries within a short time space. If these seem fine, then finally check the Tool Logs (in !plogs again) for any repetitive use of precision or stacker from an unknown player.
"Why an unknown player?" - Newer players can be legitimate, but there is also a chance they've joined the server to troll or crash it. Older players that have more experience on the server most likely aren't the source because they've been a part of the community for a while. No, they are not immune.
2. If the step above doesn't work, If you are an Admin or higher, clear the entities of certain players (start with newer players for the same reason as listed above). Do it one at a time so that if the lag stops, you know who the source is - Immediately teleport to the player causing the issue and deal with them.
Warning:
NOTE: It's common courtesy to apologize to anybody legitimate after clearing their props and/or freezing them in place whilst you investigate. Please remember to show respect back to the players.
Protocol
We want the reporter to leave the sit with the feeling of just. Try and be kind to players in the sit as much as you can, listen to their story, but if you need to interrupt, you may do so. After you've talked to the player about the rule that has been broken, make sure you refund the victim of anything lost during this sit. For example, he was rdmed, refund the player the amount the gun cost or even more.
Rdm x1 = Will lead to a warning, unless the guy just did it to piss the player off or troll, then it will lead to a 60-120 jail.
Accidental Rdm = Warning, unless you know for sure that the guy is lying or trolling, then use the Rdm x1 protocol.
Rdm x2 = After being warned Is a jail for 150 -250.
Rdm x3 = This could be considered mass rdm if the guy is an obvious troll, which could lead to a ban, but if the guy had an honest reason to have killed him, but was still against the rules, that he didn't know, would lead to a jail/kick.
Rda's will have the same punishment as Rdm's so just replace the rdm from above to rda.
If a player Breaks a rule extremely i.e( Mass Rdm, Rda, Disrespect) Leads to a 1 week ban or permeant depending on the situation.
For disrespect, mute/gag the player and warn them about the disrespect and make sure you tell them to stop. If they continue to do so, 6-12 hour ban will be placed.
There's a particular sit that always seem to get the mod confused. I like to call these sits "He said, she said" sits. When one player says that the other guy did this, but the other guy denies ever doing that, and there's no proof you have of either story being true. If one of them tries and pulls out a witness, deny it because witnesses can be biased and could lie in a sit to protect their bud. You need proof of their stories before taking any punishment. So unless they have proof, you cannot do anything. This is when you let the guy go and refund the guy if he lost anything.
If you are in a situation when someone demoted when staff are online (not allowed) the victim lost his job, so give his job back by typing rp_(job) (name). This is a little tricky with custom jobs that we don't know the official named used for it. If you cannot help him get his job, tell him to type retry in console. Then procede to the demoter and warn him not to demote when staff are online, just call for staff and we'll deal with it.
If you forget a command or want to learn your commands, type !menu in chat and look over the commands. Some commands I want you to know without going in menu, like Jailing, bringing, teleporting to and other basic commands.
